Testing method

No product test results have been published. This protocol must be validated before measurements are reported.

What a scale can tell us

Initial mass minus final mass is net device mass loss. Dividing it by an estimated liquid density gives a volume estimate, not a direct measurement of liquid consumed, inhaled or originally loaded.

Leaks, condensation, cleaning, retained liquid, temperature and changes to caps or other parts can affect the result. A difference from a labelled capacity does not, by itself, demonstrate underfilling.

Required records

Safety and interpretation

Do not increase nicotine consumption to complete a test. Do not continue using a burnt, overheating, leaking or damaged device to reach an empty state. Do not open sealed devices or modify batteries. Where necessary, use a qualified laboratory.

Incomplete tests remain identified as incomplete. A single sample is reported as n=1, not evidence of every unit. Subjective flavor observations require their own sample records and cannot be inferred from weight.

Editorial independence

Paid work and free samples must be disclosed before publication. Payment does not purchase a favorable score. Manufacturer claims, observations and estimates are kept distinct.
